Large-format sheet metal handling

Vacuum Lifters for Large Sheet Metal Handling – F8 Series

The Righetti F8 Series is designed for the safe and controlled horizontal handling of large steel, stainless-steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous sheets measuring up to 4000 × 2000 mm.

Available in electric, rechargeable battery and compressed-air configurations, the F8 range can be selected according to the maximum sheet weight, available lifting equipment and services within the working area.

Eight adjustable suction pads positioned across four supporting arms for large-format sheet handling.

F8 large-format vacuum lifters

Designed for Larger Sheet Formats

The F8 Series is intended for manufacturing, fabrication and sheet-processing environments where larger sheets must be lifted, transported and positioned safely.

A tensioned steel supporting structure provides a fixed horizontal lifting frame. Eight round suction pads are distributed across four supporting arms to provide balanced contact across the load.

The positions of the supporting arms and suction pads can be adjusted to accommodate different sheet dimensions. Selected arms can also be isolated from the vacuum circuit when smaller sheet formats are being handled.

Suitable Materials and Applications

The F8 range is suitable for large-format industrial sheet-handling operations involving:

Large steel sheets and plates

Stainless-steel sheets

Aluminium sheets

Other non-ferrous materials

Laser-cutting machine loading

Large-format fabrication operations

Key product features

Stable and Adaptable Large-Sheet Handling

The F8 combines a reinforced frame, adjustable gripping positions and eight suction pads developed for handling larger sheet-metal formats.

01

Fixed Horizontal Frame

A tensioned steel supporting structure provides stable horizontal lifting and helps counteract the natural bending of large sheets.

02

Eight Suction Pads

Eight round suction pads are distributed across four supporting arms to provide balanced contact across large sheet formats.

03

Adjustable Gripping Positions

The supporting arms and suction pads can be repositioned to suit different sheet dimensions and load configurations.

04

Individual Arm Isolation

Dedicated shut-off taps allow selected arms to be removed from the vacuum circuit when smaller sheets are being handled.

05

Spring-Supported Pads

Spring-mounted suction pads help maintain contact and compensate for the natural flexing of large metal sheets during lifting.

06

Oil-Resistant Rubber

The suction pads use vulcanised oil-resistant rubber suited to common industrial sheet-metal surfaces.

Adaptable large-format frame

Configured Around the Sheet Format

The F8 frame is designed around larger sheet dimensions while retaining the flexibility required to handle smaller formats.

Crossbeam configurations of 3,000 mm and 4,000 mm are available on selected models. The suction-pad and arm positions can be adapted according to the length and width of the sheet.

The correct arrangement is selected according to the maximum and minimum sheet dimensions, material, load weight, surface condition, lifting frequency and available power supply.

Available configurations

Choose the Appropriate Power Supply

The F8 Series can be supplied with electric, rechargeable battery or compressed-air vacuum generation.

F8EB

Electric

Suitable for overhead cranes and lifting systems where an electrical connection can be provided conveniently.

Typical use: fixed production, fabrication and sheet-processing areas.

F8B

Battery

Provides self-powered operation where maintaining a continuous mains or compressed-air connection would be inconvenient.

Power arrangement: removable rechargeable battery and external charger.

F8A

Compressed Air

Suitable for cranes and production areas where a reliable compressed-air supply is already available.

Typical use: fixed and repetitive large-sheet handling operations.
